The contrast to Acapulco
After leaving Acapulco and crossing small mountain ridge you will find yourself in a different world. Instead of beaches surrounded by skyscrapers you get to a nice relaxing cove with beautiful views of the green hills rising almost directly from the ocean.
Bahia De Puerto Marquez
Bus service from Acapulco stops at the edge of the town of Puerto Marquez in the main street, so it's up to you whether you walk for less than a kilometer to the beach (there are a few refreshment possibilities on the way) or take a taxi here. The bay itself is beautiful and there are only small waves.
Lonesome skyscrapers
Peaceful and almost sleepy atmosphere on the beach disrupt only two skyscrapers at the southern end of the bay. We hope that this type of development will not extend and thus not destroy this peaceful contrast to Acapulco.
Fishing boats
There are quite a few fishing boats anchoring in the bay. But there is still plenty of space for swimming.
Green mountains near Acapulco
Not only swimming, but also the surrounding area of the beach is beautiful. Directly from the sea rise hills covered with lush greenery.
