Island of beaches, snorkeling and sponges
Gili Island Trawangan is part of Gili Island, which is located close to the island of Lombok and is about 1.5 hours by speedboat from the island of Bali. It is a small island, it has a pleasantly sleepy atmosphere and you will find several interesting activities here.

A walk inland
The interior of the island is not arranged as living in beautiful resorts. You will find dirty streets, ubiquitous garbage and the local Muslim population living in close proximity to cows, goats and hens, all accompanied by a good smell.
In the middle of the island

Western beaches

Clear water, beautiful beaches and coral reefs encourage snorkelling. Unfortunately, the coral reefs are quite destroyed by tourism, but you will still find many different colored fish here.

If you don't have your snorkeling equipment, don't worry anyway, in almost every resort you will rent the equipment or just go along the coast and rent the equipment in one of the stalls. Prices are around $ 5–10.
Flight to the moon
Although there are harsh penalties for possession and purchase of drugs in Indonesia, this is tolerated in the Gili Islands. On the coast in bars you will be happy to prepare a pineapple cocktail with bald eagles.
Dinner
For dinner, it is best to go to the eastern part of the island, where the port is. Here the prices are relatively low and there is a large selection. You can have a grilled sea monster prepared, for example.

The main street leads from the port around the perimeter around the whole island. You can walk all day or cycle around the island.
