Most travelers start a trip to Oman with a tour of the capital Muscat and its surroundings. You can catch it in two days. Interesting are the magnificent buildings of the Sultan Qaboos Mosque and Opera House and the historic centers of Muttrah and Old Muscat

1 day

West Muscat

From the airport, take the motorway east and you will soon come across the huge mosque of Sultan Qaboos. A little further on is the famous opera and the first opportunity to swim in Oman on the long beach of Qurum. The beach is connected to Qurum Park and the affluent Qurum Heights. From here, a 10-kilometer motorway ride to the historic town of Muttrah awaits you. Here is the harbor, fish market and classic bazaar. There is also a nice fortress. It has a nice atmosphere in the evening
