Area Hochschwab

Almost at the very eastern end of the Alps is the beautiful Hochschwab mountain range. The highest peak is also called Hochschwab (2,277 m above sea level). The mountain range is a beautiful massive limestone ridge with a number of two thousand peaks. You will also find a number of caves here. The whole mountain range is interwoven with a number of hiking trails. The well-known Nordalpenweg long-distance route also runs here. You will also find the beautiful Lake Leopoldsteinersee or the small mountain lake Sackwiesensee
