Trøllkonufingur (Troll Finger)
The route starts near the village of Miðvágur at the parking lot, where you have to pay an entrance fee (which is not exactly small). From the parking lot, in good weather, you can see directly onto Trøllkonufingur (Troll Finger) – a 313-meter-high monolith. However, since it is located 6 km away, it is recommended to go to it on a separate path (where this photo also comes from) from the village of Sandavágur.
Path along the lake
The path to Trælanípa Cliff is about 3 kilometers long and follows a well-trodden path that can be very slippery when wet, so extra caution is required.
Lake Sørvágsvatn
During the route, tourists can enjoy beautiful views of Lake Sørvágsvatn – the largest lake in the Faroe Islands.
Trælanípa Cliff
Trælanípa is a vertical rock wall that juts out from sea level to a height of 142 meters. Its name translates as „Slave Cliff“. Legend has it that the cliff got its name during the Viking Age, when slaves were thrown from the rock.
