  • There are similar dangers and risks as in other tourist centers.
  • From the trekking point of view you need to be careful about sufficient drinking, especially during exploration of wonderful lower parts of caldera. There is a microclimate in some places and the temperature can rise up to the thirties in summer and the air is stagnant without the slightest breeze.
  • In winter, on the other hand, you need to expect snow at higher altitudes. Swimming in the ocean and snowball fight in the mountains the same day, this is what have La Palma and Tenerife in winter in common.
