Little-known view not only of the Ruins
Directly above Mladějov rises a slightly inconspicuous hill – Mladějovská horka (363 m above sea level). Even thanks to the fact that there is no marked hiking trail leading to the top, you will probably not meet anyone else here. At the same time, it is a very nice view of the Bohemian Paradise. It pays to get here as part of a bike trip or a hike from Prachovské skal to Mladějov
View of Trosky, Mladějov and Kozákov
There is no hiking trail leading to the top. Get off at the point where the level crossing crosses the main road. Take the local road in a westerly direction, parallel to the tracks, and just 90 meters after the first house, turn left onto a dirt road that goes straight up the hill. From the main road it is only 600 meters when you get to this beautiful view of Mladějov and its surroundings.
View of the Shooting Mountain
To the east there is also a nice view of the Shooting Mountain (sometimes in maps as the Great Mountain (456 m above sea level))
View over three ridges
A nice view is through Mladějov lying on the slope of a low hill, behind it is the Kozákovský ridge and even further Giant Mountains
View of Veliš
The most beautiful view over the Jičín basin – Veliš – can be seen in a south-easterly direction
Waterworks under Mladějovská hot
The view itself is from the field, so it is ideal to be here in early spring or after the summer harvest. If the field is overgrown, walk to the fenced waterworks building from where you can also see the region
The peak of Mladějovská horka
There is no view from the top – it is overgrown, but it has a quite interesting atmosphere. If you want to conquer it, continue along the dirt road in a westerly direction and in places where it „touches“ the forest, basically just a few tens of meters from the waterworks, take the footpath to the top.
