Besides the desert peninsula of Paracas, near the town of Pisco there is a small interesting archipelago – Isla Ballestas. There are small islands besieged by sea birds – cormorants, pelicans, raccoons and others. Tourists are also very interested by sea lions basking on the local rocks.
