The westernmost view of the Prachovské rocks
At the very western end of Prachovské skály, outside the crowd of tourists, you will find the rock massif of Ervín Castle. It is a slightly different view within the Prachovské rocks – instead of looking at the rock towers, from here you will see a wooded valley through which flows a stream draining the rock town. The best starting point for Ervín Castle is the small settlement Maršov.
Exit from Maršov
From Maršov, located on the edge of the forest right by the stream, take the green hiking trail straight up. It is only a few hundred meters from here to Ervín Castle, but you will climb almost uphill, not through a very interesting landscape (compared to the conditions of the Prachovské Rocks)
At the bridge to the lookout
The first attraction on this short walk is the bridge over the space between the rock towers
Valley view
The main view from the rock tower is on the forested western part of Prachovské skal
Look down
The viewpoint is very high above the treetops. It would definitely not be pleasant to fall from here
Rock castle from below
From the viewpoint you can continue along the green tourist route to the interior of Prachovské skal. If you do not go to Ervín Castle by the shortest way from Maršov, but from the Tourist cottage, or from the swimming pool Pelíšek, you will see the rock castle from below
