False highest motorized pass in the worl
Khardung la Pass (5 359 m asl) is probably the most famous Indian road pass, mainly due to the fact that it has for decades erroneously been stated as the highest motorized pass of the world. Even so, it's very interesting tourist spot, mainly due to its proximity to the capital of Ladakh – Leh and to the gate into the valley of Nubra.
