Kiev has almost three million inhabitants. Among the most important monuments are St. Michael's Cat­hedral. The center is a great square of independence, where bloody riots broke out in November 2013. The city flows through the mighty Dnieper River, surprisingly relatively clean. There is also one famous monuments, which is old for centuries – the Golden Gate, or Zolota Vorota, the rest of the fortifications to protect Kiev from Mongol attacks. So they are almost 1,000 years
