Mountain with little snow cap

Cerro Caňapa is one of a number of five thousand meters high volcanoes located near the Chilean-Bolivian border. This peak rises just a short distance from the lagoon of the same name. It also belongs among the little-known mountains, where only a few tourists set out. It is interesting that the border between Bolivia and Chile does not lead here throughout volcanic ridges as usually, but along a straight line connecting the tops of volcanoes Araral and Ollagüe, so this volcano belongs entirely into Bolivia.
