You usually go to Pakistan to see hills and not the architecture, but even so it is possible to see many masterpieces here, especially from the mughal era.

  • The architecture is clearly dominated by beautiful Lahore built in mughal style. Royal mosque Badshahi is the most beautiful of its kind in the world. Also the large fortress and the old bazaar with its nice atmosphere are worth a visit.
  • Nice atmosphere and views of the countryside have old palaces in the north of the country, strategically located on rocky promontories above the river valleys. For example, fortresses in Altitu and Baltitu in Hunza valley or Karpachu in Skardu.
  • Interesting is also modern and Pakistani largest mosque Faisal in Islamabad.
