Pakistan is a paradise for hikers. Thanks to the shepherds, there are trails virtually to every mountain valley. However, you must count with difficult terrain often leading over the glacier and the considerable distance from civilization.

Hiking circuits & Trekking

Petr Liška Wrote 27.01.2013:
  • Gondogoro trek: One of the most beautiful treks in the world ever leading under the Karakoram eight-thousand mountains. If your physical condition and weather permits, it is ideal to expand Gondogoro trek to the side trips to BC Trango, BC K2, BC Gasherbrum or BC Masherbrum.
  • Fairytale meadows under Nanga Parbat: Short hike to a really fabulous place under a massive side of Nanga Parbat
  • Rush lake trek: Beautifully situated mountain lake, in which the mountains of mighty Karakoram are reflecting
  • Hispar la and Snow Lake trek: amazing, but endless walk through the glacier in the very heart of Karakoram.
  • Trek around Nanga Parbat: long and demanding trek around the whole massif of the killing mountain
  • Shimshal trek: Awesome crossing from the north Karakoram to Askole
  • Trek to Rakaposhi BC: a little known, but beautiful trek

Classic Treks

  • ** Gondogoro trek: ** One of the most beautiful treks in the world ever leading under the Karakamama 8,000-meter peak. Weather and weather allow, it is ideal to extend the Gondogoro trek with side trips to BC Trango, BC K2, BC Gasherbrum or BC Masherbrum. – ** Fairytale meadows under Nanga Parbat: ** A short hike to a really fairytale place under the massive walls of Nanga Parbat. – ** Rush lake trek **: Ideally situated mountain lake, which reflects the mountains of the mighty Karakoram. – ** Hispar la and Snow lake trek: ** amazing but endless march across the glacier in the heart of Karakamam – ** Trek around Nanga Parbat: ** challenging and long trek around the whole massif of Killer Mountain

Off Beaten Treks

Petr Liška Wrote 27.01.2013:

Pakistan is a paradise for those who like abandoned marches in the high mountains. Even the most famous routes are not overcrowded, so you will never meet anyone on lesser-known routes. – ** Shimshal trek: ** Amazing transition from northern Karakoram to Askola – ** Trek to Rakaposhi BC: ** little known but beautiful trek

Support on the trek

Petr Liška Wrote 27.01.2013:

Depending on your strength and financial capabilities, you can also arrange porters who will help you with luggage on the trek. Most tourists trek in Pakistan with only a small backpack and have everything else carried (especially travel agency tours). It is possible to agree, for example, that the carriers only carry food and the rest of the tourist's luggage (especially on remote frictions). It is very common that a guid (professional trek guide) accompanies you along with the porters. It is also mandatory on some frictions. In the case of Pakistan, it is good to arrange everything in advance on the Internet, including transport from Islamabad.

Mountains Climbing

Petr Liška Wrote 27.01.2013:

Most of the mountains is very difficult climbable for the average tourist. The highest points in Pakistan that you will probably summit will be mountain passes on trekking routes.

Maps and orientation in the landscape

Petr Liška Wrote 27.01.2013:

We recommend you to arrange a guide for challenging and long treks across the glacier, such as Hispar, since the path change every year, due to the constant movement of the ice, and it is sometimes difficult to find the best variant of the crossing even for the local people. Especially in bad weather.
