The most famous marches include: Mountain treks: great treks are in Mount Cook National Park. For example, climb to the mountain cottage Mueller. In Fiorland there is the famous Milford Track or the scenic Kepler track Volcanic treks: the most famous is only a one-day Tongariro crossing Coastal treks: the most famous seaside march is a trek in the Abel Tasman National Park, where beautiful golden sand beaches, cliffs and subtropical vegetation await you.

New Zealand as a trekking destination has well-marked main march routes and it is not a problem to buy current and detailed maps of individual national parks.
