Mountains

Petr Liška Wrote 29.01.2013:

Highest mountains: the highest mountain in Guatemala and the whole of Central America is Tajamulco (4,220 m above sea level). Next door is Tacaná (4,110 m above sea level). The third highest mountain is Acatenango (3,976 m above sea level). All these mountains are accessible to tourists. The most beautiful mountains: Due to the fact that all the highest mountains are of volcanic origin, there are a number of beautiful and regular cones. Acatenango (3,976 m above sea level) and Agua (3,760 m above sea level) are definitely among the most beautiful and interesting

Forests and vegetation: the whole north of the country is occupied by the original forest in which you will find typical trees for this area of Ceiba, growing up to 70 meters. They can also be seen, for example, in the Mayan town of Tikal.

Guatemala is very rich in animals, because of its virgin forest . King of felines is jaguar. The birds you meet here are different kinds of parrots and toucans. Furthermore, there lived a sloth, tapir, armadillo and dozens of others.
