Technical monuments

Petr Liška Wrote 02.02.2013:

In the Czech Republic, thanks to the extensive mining (silver, uranium, coal) past, you will find many interesting technical monuments. The mining museum in Příbram, for example, is interesting. The water is connected by a beautiful dam Les Království or the pumping reservoir Dlouhé stráně.

Lookout towers

Petr Liška Wrote 02.02.2013:

The Czech Republic is a promised land for lookout towers. You will find dozens, maybe hundreds of lookout towers here. In addition, most of the towers in the historic parts of the city are accessible as a beautiful view. The highest lookout towers: is the Žižkov Tower in Prague (the viewpoint is 93 meters above the ground – the television tower itself is 216 meters). The TV transmitter on Praděd has a viewing platform at a height of 73 meters above the ground. The Petřín lookout tower with a height of 63 meters is very well known and high. Highest lookout towers: This is where Praděd falls again. But the highest „classic lookout tower“ is in Šumava on the top of Boubín (1,362 m above sea level). It is 21 meters high.
