Mountains
California is a very mountainous country. There is a wide range of mountain peaks higher than four thousand meters above sea level. There is also Mount Whitney, the highest mountain in continental United States outside Alaska.
Mountain passes
Road Passes: California's highest road pass is Tioga Pass (3,031 m above sea level) on Highway 120 through Yosemite National Park to Mono Lake. Sonora Pass (2,933 m above sea level) is on Road 108 north of Yosemite. Sherman pass (2,804m nm)
There are a number of amazing natural wonders in California. The most famous are probably the rock walls and waterfalls in Yosemite National Park.
