Bosnia and Herzegovina's most beautiful park
Sutjeska became a national park in 1965. It is located in the Maglić mountain range with the highest mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina – Bosanski Maglić. Other interesting places are the waterfall Skakavac, beautiful lake Trnovačko, etc. The park is located directly on the border with Montenegro. During World War II, guerrillas were hiding here led by Marshal Tito (later president of Yugoslavia). In honor of their victory in one of the battles, a memorial is built here.
