Gateway to Torres del Paine
Puerto Natales is picturesque Patagonian town which is almost constantly whipped by winds and is located in the Last Hope Cove. It works for most tourists as a springboard to the national park Torres del Paine or to long journey to Argentinean El Calafate with famous glacier Perito Moreno. There is not much to see here, but for example from the harbor there are a lot of nice views of the mountains on the other side of the bay.
Patagonian architecture
Development in Puerto Natales is typically Patagonian – low, sometimes quite decrepit houses in pastel colors and corrugated iron roofs.
Patagonian accommodation
Storey and a little nicer are mostly only government buildings and tourist accommodation facilities.
Fishing boats
There is not much to do in the town itself. The wind is howling in the dusty streets, so it's better to walk down to the sea and enjoy the views of the fishing places with mountains on the horizon.

Thanks to virtually relentless wind you will see here water level without ripples only rarely. You can also arrange cruises in the harbor.
Navimag
Renowned several days lasting cruise through the Patagonian fjords are undertaken by company Navimag. It is a great experience for those having a lot of time or those wanting to get to know Patagonia a little differently.
Last Hope Cove
More than fifteen hundred meters high mountains towering almost directly from the sea, it is the backdrop of Last Hope Cove.
