Visit of Moon Valley

The whole area lies on plateau furrowed by small canyons at about 3300 m asl. The surrounding landscape is reminiscent more of the Wild West than neighboring Altiplano.

While walking through Moon valley, you will feel like you were walking through the rock towers sculpted from white clay. Scattered cacti complement the overall atmosphere to the trip.

Indomitable force of nature to survive even in such inhospitable places is visible also here. Tops of the tallest towers are overgrown with cacti and other scanty vegetation.

The trip circuit leads over a small bridge, from which you can look into the depths of a small canyon.

A dusty path leads in the canyon. There are no handrails, so be extremely careful when looking into the depths.

The best views of the whole place are from the highest outlooks, from where you can admire tens and hundreds of weathered towers. Weren´t it for the sidewalk here, it would be really difficult to push through.
