Trip to the eastern outskirts of Zakynthos
Vasilikos Peninsula is a very nice part of Zakynthos. It is the easternmost part of it. The highest point is Mount Skopos (496m). In the southern part of the peninsula are mostly high cliffs, in the northern part there are more beaches and tourist resorts. If you are not staying here, be sure to make at least one trip here

The trip begins at the capital of the island of Zayknthos. Just a short drive towards Vasilikos, or the Argassi excursion center, there is a beautiful view of the city of Zakynthos lying under a massive cliff

After a short drive, you will have your first delay while passing through the cruise town of Argassi – a narrow road, lots of tourists and traffic. The only local attraction is a nice church tower.
Trip to Dafni beach
Five kilometers behind Argassi is a turnoff across the mountains to Dafni Beach. It is definitely worth going here for at least half a day.

Porto Zorro / Porto Azzuro beach
Just two kilometers of mountain bends from the turnoff to Dafni beach, you will find two consecutive descents to the sea to the famous beach Porto Zorro (western part) / Porto Azzuro (eastern part) overlooking the hill Skopos.
