Verdens Ende or the end of the world is the southernmost tip, located in southern Norway near Larvik. It is a magical place with rocks that will captivate you with a unique atmosphere.

Day 19

Verdens ende or together to the End of the World

We decided to go to Verdens Ende today. The end of the world in Czech. This is a place in southern Norway, near Larvik with rocks that have been given the name The End of the World. The weather is beautiful and clear 19 ° C. Along the way we pass several toll gates. That will be the owner's invoice. We are not registered with Autopass and we could not even pay anywhere at the pump, as was advised on the Internet. They looked at us everywhere like fools and did not confirm anything like that to us. We have a few hours to go, so we are glad that we are finally coming to the Verdens Ende campsite and setting up a tent. We immediately head to Verdens Ende, which is so popular with tourists. The path just before the beach leads through a grove and has its own charm, because it is so inconspicuous, because it does not in the slightest indicate what awaits you at the end. Suddenly, a wide sea opens up in front of you, and the beauty is breathtaking. We have pleasant windy weather and beautiful warm sunshine. We really feel like we're at the imaginary end of the world. We go ashore and as far away from people as possible to have peace. Here we sit on a huge round boulder and look into the distance, from where the fjord ends and the open sea stretches in the company of a couple of seagulls. That silence is priceless. Now I would like to show you one unforgettable experience from this trip. When we are just confessing our love there and we are glad that we went through all this together and now we have reached the end of the world, suddenly a moment of silence comes, when Míra just smiles for a long time, kneels, rakes in her pocket for a golden box with a bow and adds : „Will you marry me?“ My breath stops immediately, tears well up in my eyes and I'm shocked. What more could a girl like me want, of course, that I said „Yes.“ And so Míra gives up her freedom almost forever, and I, moved and happy, add a photo of the ring to the greeting to my parents. Suddenly I like this holiday even more and I will never forget it. But to go back, the main feature of Verdens Ende is such a stone replica of a historic lighthouse with a very unusual hanging basket, in which a fire once burned, which probably served boats and fishermen to get to the safety of the port. At least that's how we estimate it. Otherwise, of course, there is a large building with a restaurant, so you will definitely not be hungry. It's quite late, so we go back to the camp so we can have some more dinner. With a ring on my hand, I pay special attention to it, that makes sense. Míra even goes to the reception for a beer, so we can drink it in the main building (if we took him to the tent, the owners would close the restaurant) And so we fall asleep with other beautiful experiences and pay online tickets for tomorrow's football match in Swedish Gothenburg.
