Newly renovated temple in Bangkok.
Located on the right bank of the Chao Phraya River, this temple has been attracting tourists for decades. The church underwent a complete reconstruction at the end of 2017, and now its restored façade made of ceramic shards has been far into September.
Admission is still very low.
The temple has been covered with scaffolding for many years, but the result of the reconstruction is worth the wait.
Thousands or even millions of ceramic shards form an amazing composition.
The main pagoda is 80 m high.
The temple is built in the Khmer style, as one of the few temples in Bangkok.
Of course, the pagoda itself is surrounded by a garden and many other Buddhist buildings.
The entrance to the complex is guarded by armed guards from Buddhist mythology.
