The short circuit in Prachov rocks

The ideal starting point for the most interesting main circuit is the tourist hut practically in the middle of Prachov rocks. There are limited places in the car park, so in the main season it is ideal to arrive early or late in the afternoon. Set out along the red tourist trail (along with yellow, green and blue) to the east. The first view of the rock towers will open after only a few dozen of meters. Prachovska Capka and Jehla look from the bottom as little cuckold.

In a moment you will have a nice isolated small rock on your left. Very nice period for visit is Indian summer. There are not many visitors and local beeches are beautifully golden brown colored.

After less than a kilometer walk you get to a wider area of Zadni Tocenice, where is the first major crossroads. This fabulous place was not very impressive even a few years ago, because it was hidden behind the trees that had to be cut down after the windbreak in 2009. Now there are at least nice views of the surrounding rock towers. From Zadni Tocenice you will continue along the yellow trail Denisova path. It is also possible to turn to Masaryk path.

Denis' path is a great experience. There is a steep staircase and a very narrow crack called the Mouse Hole. Here, more obese people do not have a chance to pass.

After leaving Mouse Hole, you will find a beautiful sightseeing place. Ideal stop before the last steep staircase

Now the last staircase is waiting for you, and after you've done it, you have the toughest part of this little circuit behind you. From the crossroads, head to the viewpoint of the Bohemian Paradise

Perhaps the most beautiful outlook in Prachov rocks is the outlook point Cesky raj (“Czech Paradise”). For example, if the visibility is good, you will see not only another symbol of the Czech Paradise – Trosky, but also Vysker or Strelecska Hura. However, your views will be more directed to a beautiful panorama of rock towers.

Directly opposite you are clearly visible steep stairs, which are used to ascent into the rocks on the Long circuit.

From the outlook point Cesky raj is also a very nice view of Prachovska Jehla and the path to the tourist lodge.

From the viewpoint of the Bohemian Paradise, you will return to the crossroads and follow the yellow mark to the crossroads „U Buku“. From here it is only a short distance to the second famous prospect Mir (“Peace”). You are looking from here directly to the tops of the rock towers rising around Cisarska chodba.

At the Peace Viewpoint, you are really in the center of things

From the prospect of Peace we are in a moment in the mouth Cisarska chodba – the most beautiful gorge in Prachov rocks leading among the highest rock needles. It's really impressive and beautiful place.

Like other places in Prachov rocks, winter has here an interesting atmosphere. You almost do not meet here a living soul, which is very pleasant compared to the crowds during the summer holidays. But the snow may be quite icy in some places, so you need to be very careful.

After you walk through the Cisarska chodba along the long staircase, you can take a look into the side valley, but there is no tourist route. Here you are just a few meters from the Zadni Točenice. After the same path you will return to the tourist hut
