Ubud Monkey Forest is one of the most visited attractions of the island of Bali. This is a beautiful park full of tropical trees, paths between the temple and a lot of monkeys.

Entrance to the park

Park is located on the edge of the center of Ubud. Before entering is parking place where you can park your scooter. They recommend avoiding anything with scooter because it will take away the monkeys.

Monkeys everywhere

Macaques love this complex, because it's there for them amazing environment. A constant supply of food from tourists, mysterious temples and thick vegetation where they may reside, are perfect.

Park is full of paths, so you may find that you walk in circles over and over. If you go towards the lower part of the park, walk into the valley, where is a river and amazing hindu ruins with spectacular stone bridge.

Protection of monkeys and their sanctity

Monkeys are protected and are considered sacred in Bali. Park wardens monitor all events and nobody can hurt monkeys or whatever is upsetting. Monkeys but may do anything. For example take your glasses or take food out of your bag.

Good advice for the end

If you want to feed the monkey, I suggest you take some fruit with you. In the park is the fruit sold, but at 10 to 20 times of general price. Visit Ubud Monkey Forest Park is really worth it. Leaving aside the crowds of tourists, you can quite enjoy it.
