Cruise to the island of Marathonisi

The boat trip starts in the waters around the port of Agios Sostis. Boats cruise the area looking for a turtle. It's often funny when several ships surround one poor turtle. If you're lucky, you can see her for a few seconds when she's inhaling.

Finally, we leave the waters around the port and set out to meet the island of Marathonisi. Before that we sail around the island of Cameo, so we can see it from the other side, where there is a famous small beach.

The voyage, especially on a small boat, is quite wild. The calm water off the coast is quite turbulent in the strait between the two islands. The island of Marathonisi itself, thanks to its lush vegetation, looks like somewhere in the tropics than in Greece

Of all this boat trip, the best trip for me was around the island under its steep white walls.

Another attraction of this cruise is the Marathonisi Cave. If you are sailing in a smaller boat, you can sail inside. Next door is a beautiful beach, just below a huge cliff. Beware of swimming here only if you have explicitly agreed in advance!

The entrance to the cave is quite impressive. The surrounding landscape seemed more beautiful to me than the more famous Blue Cave in the north

The cruise on the south side of the island of Marathonisi is really amazing. It is definitely worth leaving in the afternoon and you will not have a backlight in the most beautiful passages of the island

The main attraction for most visitors to the island is the beach of Marathonisi, which, like a sandy corner, opens into the sea. It looks really luxurious on all flyers photographed from the air. Of course, the effect is not visible on the ground. In addition, at times, so many ships are moored here that you can't even take a bath.

There is no tavern or anything on the island, snacks also come here by water.

If you want to enjoy this beach a bit, be sure to arrange your return back as soon as possible. After five o'clock, it gradually begins to empty
