Because Tenerife is located in the Atlantic Ocean it is relatively cold water even in high season. For travelers is bathing in Tenerife rather supplementary activity.

The most famous beach on Tenerife is Teresitas – Only one with the yellow sand from the Sahara. Otherwise you will find beaches with black volcanic sand. Among the most beautiful black sand beach is Playa Bollullo.
