You can go to the Ötztal Alps all year round, each season has its own charm.

Spring

Petr Liška Wrote 08.04.2013:

Early spring is an interesting season for both ski mountaineers and snowshoe hikers. It is no longer so cold, quite often there are beautiful sunny days, but the mountains are still covered with snow. During this period, even ordinary tourists can sometimes conquer the mountains, where they do not get over the glaciers in the summer (on well-trodden alpine trails – of course with great caution and at your own risk)

Autumm

Petr Liška Wrote 08.04.2013:

When the so-called „old lady's summer“ comes out in the fall, it is the most beautiful part of the year in the mountains. It is usually around a week of stable sunny weather, the grass is yellow and the larch is golden. Photographic idyll

Winter

The biggest season here is in winter, when it is full of skiers, especially around Sölden. The mountains are full of ski mountaineers.

Overcrowding

Petr Liška Wrote 08.04.2013:

The whole area is very popular. Especially larger cities are overflowing with tourists in the valleys. However, this does not mean that you do not enjoy the „mountain tranquility“ in the Ötztal Alps. There are a number of remote targets. In addition, there are so many hiking trails and peaks that tourists simply spread out quite well.
