There are a number of starting points:
• Liberec – the biggest town under the mountains with fast and frequent connection to Prague
• Other major towns on the south side: Jablonec nad Nisou, Tanvald, but also Harrachov
• From the north: Frýdlant, Hejnice, Nové město pod Smrkem: frequent rail and bus transport
